What is SEO?
SEO is an acronym for “search engine optimization” or “search engine optimizer.” SEO is a skill that uses all aspects of a website to increase the ranking when a search engine search is conducted.
There are two forms of SEO which are “Organic” and “Paid Advertising”(denoted by the heading “Sponsored Links”). Advertising with Google won’t have any effect on your site’s presence in our search results.
Search Engine Friendly Site
The first thing to check is to make sure the site is Search-Friendly. How do you know your site is Search-Friendly? First we have to make sure the following conditions are met:
- Design and content guidelines
- Technical Guidelines
- Quality Guidelines
Some of these guidelines can be as simple as not using too many images without any additional attribute information associated with each one. We use text browsers to view the site just as search engine spiders would. There are also additional files that need to be on the servers where your site is being hosted. These files tell the crawlers which directories can and cannot be crawled.
Business Locator & Maps
We also submit your sites to the appropriate Map locating services like Google Maps and Bing’s Business locator service.
Can I be #1 on all the search engine searches
No legitimate SEO company should ever tell you that they can make your site Number 1 on a search engine. We can improve your ranking significantly. The time frame is usually 1 – 2 months depending on factors like existing competition. One thing is for sure, the longer you keep updating your site and the more frequent updates to your site will improve your site ranking. That is why Blogging is important.
Our experience dates back to Mid 2006 when we launched RGVImpress.com. This site was intended to showcase all the small business restaurants and entertainment locations around South Texas. Within the first month RGVImpress.com was ranked in the top 5 with all the major search engines. RGVImpress.com seized operation in early 2007 as we decided venture into other projects.
Because we see a need for a business oriented entertainment website that will showcase local small businesses and entertainment, we will be launching a site on October 1, 2012 that will showcase all small businesses restaurants and venues in South Texas.
