Cell Service Alternatives when your Service is Down

Anything That Can Go Wrong Will Go Wrong

Even your cell service is not as reliable as you would have hoped and a lot of times it just happens that when you need to make that urgent call, your service is down. Here are a couple of services that you can have available on your phone at no cost. All you will need is a Wi-Fi connection.

As a strong supporter of Voice Over IP, I was truly glad when Google launched their Google Voice service in 2009. If you have a Gmail account,  signing up is easy and making calls even easier.  You can make calls once logged into your Gmail account or even easier by using the Chrome browser. If you wish to use the service on your IPhone just download the Google Voice app and you can have access to your account right from your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. You can send free text messages to US phones and make international calls at very low rates and access your voicemail messages with transcription.

Skype has been around for quit some time and is considered one of the best and lowest cost alternatives for International calls. People from all over the world conduct business with Skype and it’ll be a while before any other service derails them.

Having an alternative is a must have because Anything That Can Go Wrong Will Go Wrong
